Drug addiction is a pathological condition which occurs due to frequent use of drugs. This disorder is seen to be a habitual behavior wherein the individual seeks for continuous use of drugs in the hope of relieving oneself from personal problems.
Just like alcohol, drug initiates addiction within the individual. The person experiencing drug addiction tends to have continuous use of drugs. This is known as dual diagnosis treatment.
Parents fear their children to be in such dangerous situation. For this reason drug prevention activities must be learned and practiced in the society. A lot of problems occur due to drug addiction. Drug addiction starts when the persons get used in taking in some drugs as a form of escape to some personal problems. They tend to depend on a certain drugs in order to find relief or some sort of feeling “high”.
Individuals having this problem must be given immediate and continuous drug addiction treatment in order for them to get back to a normal state of mind and being. Rehabilitation must also be given to patients with drug addiction cases. Drug addiction and alcoholism have the same things in common, even in terms of treatment.
