The idea of uploading files could be a not so popular file management routine among common computer users.  That’s because most people are accustomed to the opposite task – which is file downloading.  However, the capability to do file upload was created for an important reason.  And in its simplest terms, file upload and file sharing gives the full capability to host files over the internet.  How is this significant.  Often, the need arises when you want to share files.  And not just any type of file but files that occupy large disk spaces.  Normally, one would think about email but email has its obvious limitations when it comes to file attachment sizes.  Thus if you are able to upload files to a repository and give it the proper permissions so that it is accessible, then you have yourself a nice solution to share very large files.
